Suffolk Rivers Cruise

Join the barge in Ipswich’s historic Dock, an area bustling with cafes, shops and boats. Once you’ve headed out through the dock, you experience approximately 15 minutes in the lock before heading onto the River Orwell. You will enjoy going under the Orwell bridge, past Woolverstone, Pin Mill – one of the most painted places on the East Coast, and to Shotley near the mouth of the river, with it’s old naval training buildings. Heading through Harwich Harbour, we head into the beautiful River Stour where sights include Grayson Perry’s Dreamhouse, The magnificent buildings of Holbrook Hospital School and the posh beach houses at Wrabness. Both rivers are very pretty with rolling banks and large country houses visible through the trees.
Depending on the wind direction, the skipper may only be able to set sails one way and have to motor the other.
Includes morning coffee and biscuits, two course hot buffet lunch and tea and cake.
