A fabulous, magical evening of piano music from the Crescent City…in the saloon of the 114-year-old Thames sailing barge Hydrogen, tied up alongside Maldon’s historic Hythe Quay.
Pianist and singer Dale Storr is one of the UK’s leading exponents of the many piano styles of New Orleans – from 1920s stride and boogie-woogie through the hip blues of Dr John and Allen Toussaint, the tight funk of Jon Cleary and the diverse classical stylings of tragic genius James Booker.
In this fabulous show, Dale not only plays the music, he tells amazing, colourful tales of the Big Easy’s music, musicians and culture with a singular passion.
